Nova

nova skill guide

Perhaps one of the youngest heroes on the roster, Nova is teenage hero Sam Alexander. Sam was gifted with the power of an intergalactic peace keeping force known as the Nova Corps. While he wasn’t sure why he was granted the power and the helmet, he’s tried to use it to fight for what’s good and right. Offered membership in the Avengers after his exploits helping to fend of the Phoenix, Nova hasn’t accepted his place on the team yet. If he does, he will be far and away the youngest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

There are two, serious build styles for Nova for players that want to jump right into the action and start wrecking stuff. The first is the Nova Cannon. This build focuses almost exclusively on Nova’s long-range damage dealing capacity. Players need to build up his shaped blasts, and increase the amount of damage done by Nova’s energy blast at every opportunity. The goal with this build is to make Nova so deadly that enemies will never have the opportunity to close the distance to find out what a glass cannon Nova really is.

The second build could best be thought of as the Battering Ram. Nova’s melee attacks aren’t too shabby, and his ability to smash right into the heart of a group, or to slam into a big bag and start swinging is a big advantage. Players is able to turn Nova into a guided missile like Wolverine skills, tending to focus on his melee skills, charge damage and speed. While it’s possible to fight from a distance with this build, it will never deal as much damage as charging right in recklessly and laying about with as many energy blast punches as possible.
